Sometimes those late night art binges can be the most gratifying. For me, it's always nice and quiet and I can almost focus a lot easier. There aren't as many distractions- no phone calls, cool TV shows to wacth (infomercials? BAH!) or eBay auctions that I have to bid on.
Of course when I'm on deadline, it's a little more stressful but I know I can breathe easy once the job is done.
Obviously staying up late hasn't hurt your art any!
