This is extra fine value, light/dark, handling, soft with a very wide range in the mid-values, makes it very life-like, Rembrandt was a master at this kind of lighting, but he also used more dark darks at the same time, I like this as well without them. The colors also are super fine, this area of the color wheel and the subtle hue changes by mixes of contrasting hues, it all just makes a pleasing sight, pleasant, soft, gentle, very soothing.
I'm glad I chose the right colors, then, Jim. :) I've been contemplating rotating this piece at a 90 degree angle.
