March of Dimes

070426-1

On May 12th I will be walking for the March of Dimes.  I have set a personal goal of raising $100 in donations.  If you're interested in sponsoring me, click this link and you will be taken to the March of Dimes website that has my name on it.  http://www.walkamerica.org/walkstaceywalk
They accept international donations, too.  The March of Dimes is putting on "Walk America" in order to raise money to help save babies' lives.  Premature births are the number one cause of infant death.  I'm doing this to get in better shape myself and to help raise money for those babies that need help!  Thanks.

I've been lurking lately, so thought I'd better de-lurk once in a while to tell you how much I enjoy your fractals...they are awesome!

Hi BeadBabe,

I've gotten a little behind in blogging, so I am sorry that your comment sat here for a few days! Thanks so much for watching my work, it means a lot.

I've thought about your bead work and sometimes I wonder if you can bead a fractal pattern. Maybe I should get into making patterns for beaders. Who knows, maybe I'll try beading myself! I'm just afraid I'd mess it up. I wasn't outstanding in Home Ec. in junior high school. I sewed a couple pillows, but they weren't quality material. :)

A lot of luck in your fund raising and in the walk. ;-) Have a nice saturday, the 12th.

Runnerfrog, thank you so much for your big donation! You've helped me come a long way towards reaching my goal. I really appreciate your help. *hugs*

Anything can be beaded, stacey, but would anyone really want to?
Fractals are so beautiful on the monitor, with the light behind them...I don't think beading them would be an improvement.
(but then, I've seen very few photographic portraits I'd trade for a good watercolor or oil portrait...so I'm a bit of a traditionalist in some areas.)
