061114-1

061114-1

This is one I made back in June, but never posted. I rendered with a low quality setting to preserve the grain. Quality = 25, and I normally use 1000 for images that I post online. In the rare event that I print a fractal, I normally use 2000. Not that there's much visible difference between 1000 and 2000. I also went back to using flam3 to render. I had been using the internal renderer.
One thing I'd like to see in the not-too-distant future, is all the various versions of Apophysis put into one program, and that flam3 be updated to support all the variations in all the versions. However, I don't want to be pushy. The developers of both flam3 and Apophysis have done a wonderful job, and have put a lot of work into getting these pieces of software out to us.

I love the way this works together. Wonderful art!! I'll have to thank Dr. John for directing me over this way this morning. =O)

I like this one.. the main pattern alone is great.. an almost hypnotic spiral pattern (I find myself becoming very partial to the spirals for some reason).. the color is nice, not too flashy.. and it contrasts very well to the brighter colors of the foreground egg-ish objects.

Ash, thank you so much! I appreciate your continued support. Your motivation means a lot to me.

Margaret, thank you! I must find out who this Dr. John fellow is. I appreciate that he pointed you to my fractal blog.

'eliyahu, perhaps spirals are so aesthetic because they appear to draw us in, or out, as the case may be. I'm glad you liked it. I had hesitated posting it because it does look a little blurry. Or is it just me?

Quasar9, I'd love a link on your blog. I'm honored, very much so. Thank you.

Hi Piglet,

Glad you liked. Thank you! Stargazer is a pretty cool fellow fractalist.

I don't think it looks blurry. Its has some grain to it, but I think that looks good with the earthy coloring.. makes it look sandy to me.

Great picture, as always!

I prefear using Flam3 too; it now supports all Apo variations plus a bunch of Gygrazok's ApophysisZ+ (http://gygrazok.altervista.org/apo.php).
